Bassett adds BenchMade Design Center galleries in these 2 stores

Becker Furniture World hosted a grand opening for a new Bassett BenchMade Design Center gallery.

BASSETT, Va. — Furniture maker Bassett’s BenchMade Design Center program continued to grow recently with the addition of two stores.

The Bassett, Va.-based brand announced the opening of galleries at Becker Furniture World in the Twin Cities of Minnesota and Custom Home Furniture Galleries in Wilmington, North Carolina.

“We continue to have great success with our renowned Bassett BenchMade Design Centers,” said Matt Johnson, vice president of sales at Bassett. “The ability to showcase attractive and highly customizable American furniture in a gallery is very appealing to retailers and their customers. The strength of the Bassett brand and its 120 year history show a commitment to quality craftsmanship that people want.

Each BenchMade design center is approximately 3,000 to 4,500 square feet and is dedicated to Bassett upholstery, storage furniture and accent tables manufactured in Virginia and North Carolina. Wood furniture is crafted in maple and oak, each with eight custom finishes. Upholstery can be customized for customers with over 400 fabrics and 50 leathers.

“Becker is excited to roll out its expanded footprint across six Becker Furniture stores,” said Jim Huseby of Becker Furniture World. “We’ve been a key partner with Bassett, and this larger format will allow us to bring the full Bassett experience to the Twin Cities market.”

The new concept includes a full set of fixtures and displays to complement furniture displays and explain custom options.

“When they unveiled the new BenchMade Gallery program, we jumped at the chance to refresh their space.
