It’s hard not to have a great time in a place as beautiful as the Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara, California. Just ask the 100+ designers and makers who recently spent a few days there to talk about the future of design at Interior designthe last re:Source event of . From a launch dinner on the hotel’s Ocean Terrace to a packed day of meetings (more than 1,300 over the three days of the event to be exact!), every minute left a lasting impression.
But the event was far from all business all the time. For an early morning dose of inspiration, AJ Paron, EVP of SANDOW Design Group and Design Futurist, discussed the role design plays in building empathy and how built environments can enhance human interactions and well-being. -be. Several rounds of morning meetings followed Paron’s speech before an afternoon of R&R. Activities ranged from a wine tasting and Stolpman winery tour to on-site yoga and an eco-hike. Day 2 ended with cocktails and dinner at the hotel’s Ocean Bluff before the start of a final day of meetings.
As the closing of re:Source approached, attendees had the opportunity to win a variety of door prizes thanks to Interior designpartners from, from a custom 3form table to a Delta faucet of the winner’s choice, Emily stool from Nightingale Chairs, and more.
