Today, Microsoft unveiled a wealth of information regarding its upcoming Surface devices, accessories, and apps.

Not to be outdone with all the ongoing news, Microsoft has decided to abandon its huge ecosystem of devices. There was hardly anything left to do, and even the integration of Apple devices was announced for the future. For anyone who loves to see the Surface family of products evolve, this is exciting news and a taste of the future of Microsoft hardware.

The Surface Laptop 5 is a speed demon, with options for 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1255U or 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1235U processors. According to Microsoft, the Surface Laptop 5 is “more than 50% more powerful than its predecessor”. It’s a great choice for people who have considered the Surface Laptop in the past, but needed more power for their mobile computing needs.

This line of accessories has been designed for those who have difficulty or are unable to use a traditional mouse and keyboard setup, allowing maximum accessibility for any user.

three main Adaptive Range Components

  • Microsoft Adaptive Mouse – a lightweight, portable traditional mouse with the ability to swipe left or right at will. A tail extension and thumb rest really make this a mouse for everyone.
  • Microsoft Adaptive Hub – a hub for users to replace their keyboard with up to four adaptive buttons, reducing cord pollution and confusing setups. Standard 3.5mm technical switches and three distinct profiles can be used to suit different situations.
  • Microsoft Adaptive Buttons – can be formatted to work differently, with different functions and uses to effectively meet the needs of all users. Works with the Adaptive Hub for a more accessible setup. The buttons can be adapted with different toppers to meet each individual need, such as a joystick, d-pad, dual button and the new concept of being able to 3D print unique button toppers.

  • Microsoft Designer App – A free graphic design tool that allows the user to create unique images for any situation, with an easy approach to creating a new creation. The app uses DALL-E 2 generation tools to instantly inspire designs, eliminating any version of the creative block.
  • Microsoft Create App – a one-stop website for templates, graphic designs, video creation tools, documents and presentations at users fingertips.

New Apple integrations coming to Microsoft Windows 11

New software will allow users to access their iPhone data via iCloud, such as photos and videos on Windows 11 devices. This integration will be key to enabling PC users who own iPhones to implement data on their entire device ecosystem. Apple TV and Music apps will launch on Windows from next year.
